Symbiotes has 18 years of experience in designing, installing and supporting
standalone &
networked computer systems and peripherals. Our first production
software was a medical
equipment management database written in assembly for CPM in 1982.
Since then we have
designed, installed and maintained a variety of systems, from MPM through
DOS, Xenix,
Windows 3.1, 95, 98, SCO Unix, AIX, Novell, and Linux.
We are currently installing and supporting small to medium sized business
networks using
Redhat or Caldera Linux. These systems support Windows print and
file services, shared
internet access, email, both local and internet based, and have excellent
security. Linux
systems are very reliable, and rarely crash or degrade. Internet
Proxying and web page
caching for superior speed on frequently accessed sites is easily implemented.
Proxying
with strict filtering provides a strong firewall between the local business
network and the internet.
If you have a system planned, a network need, or could use some knowledgable
support,
